YOTA-Putting Franny to Bed

I joined this SAL YOTA last month a bit too late to make a post but it gave me a chance to make a finish!  I had already decided to make this the year of finishing UFOs so I hope it isn't cheating that I finished this so quickly.  I have been working on this off and on for a while now but recently decided I needed a finish so I have been concentrating most of my efforts on her.  This is where I was when I  posted last week.

This is my finish of last night.  After I had it done and off the scroll rods, I was kind of amazed at the size of her.  Not that large considering that it seemed to take FOREVER!!  I guess its all relative to the amount of time you have to work on it and my stitching time has been admittedly short this month.  Then I noticed the big crease across the top. I haven't been padding the Qsnap thingies on my rods but I guess I need to start doing that. I mean holy cow, I've already pressed it and that huge crease is still there!! Not sure what to do with it now.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

changed quite a few colors

I did manage to get a little time in with the Catherine Theron piece but that picture won't load in the right direction for some reason.  I will post that next time if I get the problem figured out.  In the mean time, I think I will go back to Ann Bowers and see if I can get caught up with that.  The next assignment will be coming out any day.
I don't know how much time I will have for stitching this week again though.  I have a board meeting on Tuesday and I have to start prep for our week at the beach.  I will try to post again before I go but may not get a chance.  If not, I will catch you up on all the beach stitching when I get back!!!

  2. Laura, it looks awesome!! Congrats on a beautiful finish! One thing that I have heard for fixing creases is to roll it up, put it in the freezer (yes, the freezer lol!), then after some time take it out and iron it, supposed to take the tough creases out.

I need to get back to Ann Bowers myself! With model stitching...my stitching time is consumed!

  6. Beautiful! Congrats on your finish!
For the crease across the top try the spray called Best Press by Mary Ellen's. Test the threads for running first. Spray on the back of the fabric and use a warm iron. Clear like water, no scent and leaves no residue on the fabric.
