This is my finish of last night. After I had it done and off the scroll rods, I was kind of amazed at the size of her. Not that large considering that it seemed to take FOREVER!! I guess its all relative to the amount of time you have to work on it and my stitching time has been admittedly short this month. Then I noticed the big crease across the top. I haven't been padding the Qsnap thingies on my rods but I guess I need to start doing that. I mean holy cow, I've already pressed it and that huge crease is still there!! Not sure what to do with it now. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
With Thy Needle and Thread Frances Pool 1832 40 ct. Weeks Dye Works Parchment changed quite a few colors |
I don't know how much time I will have for stitching this week again though. I have a board meeting on Tuesday and I have to start prep for our week at the beach. I will try to post again before I go but may not get a chance. If not, I will catch you up on all the beach stitching when I get back!!!
Congrats!!! I love Frances, have the pattern and working on colors for her. You did a great job with your conversion! YGG for getting the WIPs out of the way :)
ReplyDeleteLaura, it looks awesome!! Congrats on a beautiful finish! One thing that I have heard for fixing creases is to roll it up, put it in the freezer (yes, the freezer lol!), then after some time take it out and iron it, supposed to take the tough creases out.
ReplyDeleteI just love your finish! The colors are awesome!! Would you be willing to share your conversion. I like this much better than the original!
ReplyDeleteFrances is a charm!!! I love love love the colors!!!
ReplyDeleteLaura! STUNNING! What an awesome finish!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to Ann Bowers myself! With model stitching...my stitching time is consumed!
Enjoy your week at the beach...I have one word to say about that....JEALOUS!
Enjoy,
-Holly
Holly, whatever model you are working on I'm sure its lovely and we're all going to want it! I need for you to be working on something else just so I can catch up with my Ann Bowers!!! I'll be thinking of you at at the beach. Laura
DeleteBeautiful! Congrats on your finish!
ReplyDeleteFor the crease across the top try the spray called Best Press by Mary Ellen's. Test the threads for running first. Spray on the back of the fabric and use a warm iron. Clear like water, no scent and leaves no residue on the fabric.
